The wind trio, Trois Bois*, performs the vast catalogue of music for winds from the 18th century to the present day, and specializes in the rich oboe, clarinet and bassoon repertoire of the 20th century.
Trois Bois officially began in 2009, although the artists had previously collaborated in many concerts over the past decade. The popular response from these concerts have led to the creation of this new ensemble, Trois Bois, whose mission is to share a love of music for winds with others through concerts in venues both standard and new. Adding guest artists will be a regular feature of our concerts and will create a variety of musical offerings that will keep audiences engaged throughout each program.
Here is an excellent program to introduce Trois Bois to our audiences: 20th Century Wind Masterpieces. Composers include Igor Stravinsky, Jean Françaix, and André Jolivet.
